I think most people who find pictures online do so through flickr. I try to attribute every picture I put up, although sometimes I forget, which is awful of me. It can be difficult to find the photographer as things spread over the internet so quickly and lose their correct author.

This goes for everyone, but if you ever see a picture on my blog that is yours or someone you know, and you want it taken down (or a correct attribution assigned), please contact me and I will fix it, no questions asked. I may start putting a disclaimer on my posts, like Creepy Cupcakes does. I do NOT want to infringe anyone's copyright, only help promote alternative art and artisans.

Well, to be more fair, I realized that the photos on the blog were taken by a friend and not on my wedding site. Her name's Jenny Bowen and she's a great photographer. I'm guessing these came from her flikr account or something.

Anyway...

Thanks weddingskulls! (I'm the smiling, blissfully happy bride in red and black up there) I have no idea who submitted my photos, although having our photos up on our website (while public) isn't exactly what I'd call "all over the internet," Heath. I mean, I'll be good humored about it but I have to wonder if my wedding photographer would appreciate his photos being used without his permission or attribution.

Speaking as someone featured in one of the "tacky" goth photos, I'm really curious as to who submitted my photo. I don't particularly care if people mock me on the Internet, but I'm a little annoyed with my photos being used without permission.

Don't feel bad at all, I completely understood your position, I just wanted to let you know that it was not my intention to hurt anyone's feelings or be mean. I try to be really careful about what I post and write, but I admit I often second guess myself and worry that someone out there would be wounded by what I'm doing, even if I'm not meaning to. Weddings like the "Chav" one, I am more openly critical about because it's more about displaying money than love. Those were the weddings that I started covering, and then I was just finding all these really different weddings that I thought were interesting or fun, and I wanted to share them. I value your input, and I felt it was important to write you back. Thank you for being so lovely and understanding, I like your blog very much. :)
