I am a sucker for a heavy metal wedding. Ann and Vinnie knocked my multi-colored socks off with their Slayer, Heavy Metal, Viking wedding. Check out their kick ass day, and their hilarious photoshoot. I think this would have to be one of the most fun weddings ever!

I’m extremely humbled to present today’s Skully Wedding. When I first began dreaming and planning our wedding, I scoured the internet for other gothic weddings with which to draw inspiration. I found very few. One of these was Sandra and Shane’s beautiful gothic wedding. Married in 2000 and still blissfully happy, you can tell from their writings and their wedding website that these two are inspiring people who were destined to be together.

This week’s skully wedding is truly awe-inspiring. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wedding venue as beautiful as this old theater. Rachel and Matt took this remarkble theatre theme and ran with it, combining moulin rouge and Tim Burton wackiness in this amazing wedding that manages to be both elegant and crazy fun!

Sean and I wanted to have a wedding that combined tradition (read: happy families) with a hefty dose of our own personalities.
